Background:
Buzzy has been part of the City View Equestrian family for the last 5 years. Over the years, he has become the definition of a trusted partner, serving as one of our cornerstone lesson horses and helping shape riders of every age and experience level—from their very first lead-line rides all the way through the 2'6" divisions.
Throughout his career, Buzz has traveled across the country, competing successfully at everything from local schooling shows to rated competitions. More importantly, he has been the horse countless riders have leaned on to build confidence, earn ribbons, and create lifelong memories.
After spending years safely carrying hundreds of riders, Buzz has earned his reputation as the dependable, steady presence everyone can count on—the kind of horse that has become a true cornerstone of our program.
Training:
- W/T/C with voice commands under saddle and on the lunge line
-Collects and lengthens
-Auto flying lead change
-Push ride, but will hold his gaits for long legged riders. Requires a crop for short legs or children.
-Point and shoot over fences, no spook
-Ultimate show horse, no prep, stall to ring
Showing:
Has an extensive history of showing in everything from local to rated. Has been exclusively shown by lesson students over the last 5 years. Was used on the rated circuit prior to becoming a lesson pony.
Personality:
Buzz is the ultimate packer—the laid-back, been-there, done-that gelding unicorn that everyone is always searching for. Don't let his senior age fool you. He still has plenty of life left in him and has stayed remarkably sound with little to no maintenance.
Kind, forgiving, and incredibly uncomplicated, Buzz is easy enough for anyone to handle, including small children and first-time horse parents. He is polite on the ground, stands quietly for grooming, tacking, and the farrier, and is as low-drama as they come.
In the pasture, Buzz is the definition of easygoing. He gets along well with everyone, settles into any herd with ease, and takes life exactly as it comes. Very little phases him, making him a dependable partner both in and out of the saddle.
Buzz is the perfect first horse or confidence-building partner for a rider who wants a safe, honest mount to learn on and enjoy. He is an easy keeper, a true barn favorite, and the kind of horse that reminds you why dependable geldings are worth their weight in gold.
Because Buzz has dedicated so much of his life to teaching others, we would love to see him matched with a single rider who can truly be his person. For that reason, he will not be available to another lesson program.
