Background:
Remi has been part of the City View Equestrian family since he was just two years old. Over the years, he has become the definition of a trusted partner, serving as one of our cornerstone lesson horses and helping shape riders of every age and experience level—from their very first lead-line rides all the way through the 3' divisions.
Throughout his career, Remi has traveled across the country, competing successfully at everything from local schooling shows to rated competitions. More importantly, he has been the horse countless riders have leaned on to build confidence, earn ribbons, and create lifelong memories.
After spending years safely carrying hundreds of riders, Remi has earned his reputation as the dependable, steady presence everyone can count on—the kind of horse that has become a true cornerstone of our program.
Training:
- W/T/C with voice commands under saddle and on the lunge line
-Basic dressage (leg yields, collects, lengthens, connects with the bit, long and low, shoulder-in/haunch-in, basic transitions)
-Auto simple lead change (shows potential for flying in the correct program)
-Push ride, but will hold his gaits for long legged riders. Requires a crop for short legs or children.
-Point and shoot over fences, no spook
-Ultimate show horse, no prep, stall to ring
Showing:
Has an extensive history of showing in everything from local to rated. Has been exclusively shown by lesson students over the years. Everything from leadline to the Low Childrens/Adults. Outdoor derbies and some jumpers
Personality:
Remi is as easygoing as they come. After spending more than a decade as the heart of a busy lesson program, he's enjoying a slower pace of life and redisvering life as "just a horse."
He can take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he does, his sweet, puppy-dog personality shines through. With each passing day away from the demands of teaching lessons seven days a week, he's becoming more affectionate and eager for attention. He genuinely enjoys being fussed over and spending time with his people.
On the ground, Remi is uncomplicated and kind. He's quiet in his stall, loves children, and is the type of horse you can enjoy simply being around. Under saddle, he is steady, honest, and not prone to spooking, making him a confidence-building partner both in and out of the ring.
Because Remi has dedicated so much of his life to teaching others, we would love to see him matched with a single rider who can truly be his person. For that reason, he will not be available to another lesson program.
