Background:

Sean is a CVE homebred out of our beloved late mare, Amalfi Drive. Sean has had a tough life that started with losing his mom at a month old and becoming a bottle baby. At a year, he colicked and required massive life saving surgery. Over the years, he has had many injuries that resulted in extensive surgeries to save his career. Because of this, he is not the puppy dog personality gelding. He is slow to warm up to people and needs a quiet handler that will earn his trust. He is a quirky guy who wants to be loved - but has a hard time accepting affection. Fiercely loyal to those who earn his trust.

Training:

- W/T/C with voice commands under saddle and on the lunge line

-Basic dressage (leg yields, collects, lengthens, connects with the bit, long and low, shoulder-in/haunch-in, basic transitions)

-Flying change when in shape

-Has jumped up to 2'6" and will be limited to that height

-Push ride, but can get a motor when anxious​

Showing:

Has shown in several unrated divisions, but is still eligible for the Baby Greens due to injury history.​

Personality:

Sean is extremely headshy and needs a tolerant handler/staff to care for him. He will not tolerate or forgive being rough handled. His behavior is dependent on a solid schedule that keeps him heavily in work.

NOT bombproof. Has never offered to bolt or rear. But is look-y and scopey at first. Needs time to be allowed to relax.

Although he is "quirky" - he has been ridden by children and advanced beginners in the past. With a confident rider, he will be extremely successful.
